These terms apply when you use the Alcove website or place an order. By doing so, you agree to them.

About Alcove

Alcove is a curated retailer operated from Melbourne, Australia. We select products from specialist suppliers and makers; products are not necessarily designed or manufactured by Alcove.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted when we send confirmation that it has been accepted or dispatched. We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance, including where an item is unavailable or a material pricing or description error has occurred. If payment has been taken for a cancelled order, it will be refunded.

Prices, shipping and taxes

Prices are displayed in the market currency selected on the site where supported. Shipping is free within the United States; shipping to other available markets is calculated at checkout. International duties, taxes or local charges may apply as described in our Shipping policy.

Products and availability

We aim to keep product descriptions, specifications, images, pricing and availability accurate. Natural, handmade and hand-finished materials may vary in colour, grain, marking, texture and dimensions. Screen settings can also affect how colours appear.

Delivery

Products may ship from different suppliers and may arrive in separate parcels. Delivery windows are estimates and can be affected by carriers, customs and events outside our reasonable control.

Returns and faults

Eligible items may be returned under our 30-day free returns policy. Nothing in these terms or any Alcove policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or use the site for unlawful purposes.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the site design, text, graphics, photographs and other content belong to Alcove or are used with permission. They may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Alcove is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the site or products. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party services

The site may rely on or link to third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers and carriers. Their own terms and policies may apply to your use of those services.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live remain unaffected.
