Why it made the cut+
- Handwoven in Malawi from sustainably harvested mulaza
- Wooden handle set into the rim — carries full instead of dragging
- Holds its shape empty, unlike a fabric bin
- Three sizes, so it fits the room rather than the room fitting it
How it works+
Laundry in a bedroom. Blankets by a sofa. Toys, shoes, firewood — the things that otherwise sit on the floor.
Materials+
- Handwoven mulaza with a wooden handle
- Size and weave vary piece to piece
Dimensions+
- Small — 15 in tall × 14 in dia (38 × 36 cm)
- Medium — 17.5 in tall × 16 in dia (44 × 41 cm)
- Large — 21 in tall × 17.5 in dia (53 × 44 cm)
Care+
Dust or vacuum on a low setting. Keep out of prolonged damp.
